"27 Dresses"

Last year Katherine Heigl told Vanity Fair that "Knocked Up" was a little "sexist." But   in "27 Dresses" Heigl's character has a burning (and slightly pathetic) desire to "complete" her life by getting married. Hmmm ... Can you say double standard?

In "27 Dresses" Heigl's character, Jane, could be the poster-child for the phrase "always a bridesmaid; never the bride," and she's got, you guessed it, 27 dresses to prove it. But when Jane's secret crush and her sister fall deeply in love and plan a quick marriage, Jane loses it. James Marsden, Malin Akerman, Edward Burns and Judy Greer co-star. The film is rated PG-13 and is playing in Salem at Regal Lancaster Mall Stadium 11 and Regal Movieland 7.

"Cloverfield"

Hype for this movie is so big that it probably doesn't matter if it's any good or not. Let's recap: There was so much viral marketing for this movie that it didn't even have a name for awhile, only being called "1-18-08." Some argued that it was the day that this horrific event happens; others maintained it was the release date. Web sites were set up with mysterious products and Internet sleuths tried to figure out the plot. Even the cast of "Heroes" got involved and had photographs taken with a product called "Slusho" that is tied in with Cloverfield's marketing campaign.

No one knows what the Godzilla-like monster will look like. All we can tell you is that characters look horrified and this may just be "The Blair Witch Project" for monster movies.

The film is rated PG-13 and is playing in Salem at Regal Lancaster Mall Stadium 11 and Regal Movieland 7.

"Mad Money"

Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes team up to rob their employer - the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. Millions of worn out dollars are destroyed every day and their plan is to take the money out of the bank before it can be destroyed. We've got a full review of Mad Money here. The film is rated PG-13 and is playing in Salem at Regal Santiam 11.
