The artwork of award winning British artist Peter Lloyd will be on display at Blue Pepper June 20 to July 19. Over 100 pieces, many of which are originals, will span five decades of his work.
In the 1960's Lloyd was a freelance illustrator for National Geographic, Playboy, NFL, Levi's & several major corporations.

During the 1970s he created album covers for Kansas, Rod Stewart (Grammy Nomination for best Album Cover Design), Jefferson Starship and others. Since the 1980s Lloyd has worked with many movie studios as Art Director on such films as "Snakes on a Plane," "Sin City," "Day After Tomorrow," "Mission to Mars," "American Werewolf in Paris," "Pan's Labyrinth," "XXX," "Star Trek- Insurrection," "500 Nations," "Tron," "DC-3," "Dracula," "Fast and the Furious" "The Haunting."

Christi Finholt, owner of the Blue Pepper and Lloyd's friend, says that this will be the first time that all of his work will be in one place all at once.

"We are so excited and just really hoping that Salem will embrace this opportunity," she said.

Lloyd will be at the Blue Pepper on June 30 from 4 - 7 p.m. He also will speak at the World Beat Festival on July 1 from 12 - 1 p.m. on the visual creation of "500 Nations."
Fans are encouraged to bring album covers designed by Lloyd for him to sign at either of these events. For information contact Blue Pepper at (503) 371-4600.
