Mitt Romney won the Republican primary in Nevada with a huge margin. So huge in fact that Romney was projected by the Associated Press as the winner just from entrance polls. CNN went on to project him the winner with 4 percent of the precincts reporting.
The real race was then for second place between Ron Paul, John McCain and Fred Thompson. With 14 percent of the vote, Ron Paul has came in second place. With John McCain coming in a close third. Fred Thompson has ended in fourth place with single digit percentages.
Nevada Democrats chose Senator Hillary Clinton by 51 percent of the vote with 90 percent of precincts reporting. Senator Barack Obama came in second with 45 percent of the votes tallied.

Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney were neck and neck with Thompson finishing in third place at 16 percent and Romney at 15 percent.
This election was mired in electronic voting machine problems and snowy roads. Senator John McCain's campaign director in South Carolina released a statement saying: "Some voters say they are being instructed to return at a later time. We are disturbed by these reports and hope that this issue is resolved immediately. We encourage any voters who were turned away from the polls to return again to their polling place this afternoon to exercise their constitutional right to vote."
The state GOP officials said that by 1:30 p.m. local time 80 percent of the machines were back online.
The Democratic primary in South Carolina will take place on January 26.
