We're so close to the most anticipated summer blockbusters of the year. Next month, Hollywood is going all out with the snick snick of Wolverine's claws, J.J. Abrams's (fingers crossed) masterpiece reboot of Star Trek, and the easy-to-anger Christian Bale in Terminator Salvation. This month we get a little foreplay from L.A.

April 3

Fast & Furious

Paul Walker and Vin Diesel were once too big for this franchise. Now, they are crawling back behind the driver seat of their souped up cars. Look out for low-rise jeans and Walker grinning like an idiot.

Adventureland

An attempt for a summer vacation in Europe leaves a college graduate landing a job at an amusement park. Wherein he finds a hot girl (Kristen Stewart, Bella to you Twilight nerds) and probably becomes an adult. This type of flick is usually one best left for DVD, but with "Superbad" director Greg Mottola at the helm it's not so easily written off.

April 10

Dragonball Evolution

Big hair. Bad makeup. And a tail. Yep, it's the Dragonball movie. Some things are better left in anime. Even worse is that the previews thus far show special effects worthy of a Sci/Fi (Sy/fy?) network movie. Justin Chatwin and Chow Yun Fat should know better. I mean really.

Observe and Report

Seth Rogen got a haircut and beefed up to play a meaner, and hopefully funnier, Paul Blart. The unfortunate storyline appears to be very similar to February madness that was Paul Blart: Mall Cop. On the plus side, the dark humor of this flick is almost guaranteed to be funnier than watching Kevin James eat. Right?

April 17

17 Again

Matthew Perry is granted a wish by a janitor turned genie who turns him from his ripe old age of 37 to 17 (again). Think "Big" except instead of turning into Tom Hanks, you've got Perry turning into Zac Efron.

Crank: High Voltage

Jason Statham kills himself for two hours, while simultaneously having sex, partaking in illegal drugs, and beating the snot out of the bad guys. Bonus points for Corey Haim having a role.

April 24

Obsessed

Beyonce and Ali Larter face-off in this rip off of "Disclosure." Larter plays a temp worker that gets assigned to Beyonce's husband's desk -- literally. When Larter gets rejected, her character goes into crazy stalker mode.

The Soloist

Finally. This movie has been moved around so much that it's been impossible to figure out when it's actually going to be on the silver screen. Luckily, this date appears to be locked now. Jamie Foxx stars as Nathaniel Ayers, a street musician who is discovered by Columnist Steve Lopez (Robert Downey Jr.) who documents the story in his column.
