"Speed Racer"

Go, Speed Racer, Go. "Speed Racer" comes originally from Japanese Anime. It was similar to the Pokemon craze. The Wachowski brothers who created "The Matrix" do the movie adaptation in new CGI technology. The cast is stellar with Emile Hirsch, John Goodman, Christina Ricci, and Susan Sarandon. But early reviews so far are negative. "Speed Racer" is rated and is playing at Regal Movieland 7 and Regal Lancaster Mall Stadium 11.

"What Happens in Vegas"

There are so many different ways to poke fun at Ashton Kutcher. Do you go for the obvious "Oh, man! Kutch got Punk'D into doing this movie!"? Or do you combine the premise of this flick with the fact that he's dating the cougar Demi Moore. Maybe pointing out that beyond "The Butterfly Effect," he's only ever played characters strikingly similar to his Kelso character from "That 70's Show." Instead I'll leave the jokes to the premise of this movie. Kutcher gets inebriated in Las Vegas and marries Cameron Diaz (Kutcher has strange beer goggles) then shortly after deciding to annul the marriage "they" win big in a slot machine. Judge Dennis Miller says that the person who breaks off the marriage loses the money. That's where the wacky adventures really begin. "What Happens in Vegas" is rated PG-13 and is playing at Regal Movieland 7, Regal Santiam 11, and Independence Cinema.

"Redbelt"

Mike Terry (Chiwetel Ejiofor) is a mixed martial artist who has vowed to never compete for prizes. After saving a famous action star, played by Tim Allen, Mike takes a job in the film industry. The job leads to him to question his integrity as a fighter. David Mamet directs. "Redbelt" is rated R and is playing at Regal Santiam 11 and Independence Cinema.
