USA is on fire

The best summer show of last year, "Burn Notice," comes back on Thursday to join an especially stellar summer season on USA. "In Plain Sight" continues to get better each Sunday night."Monk" and "Psych" join the Friday night lineup next week with new episodes on July 18. The USA network broadcasting five of the must-see shows of the summer is a great feat for a cable network.

Olympics trials for NBC's marketing department

CNN is reporting that NBC is using the Olympics setup as a "billion dollar research lab" to figure out how people are using different media platforms. They plan to keep track of the 3,600 hours of Olympics coverage that is spread across all of their networks. 2,220 hours of streaming video will be available at their Olympics Web site at nbcolympics.com.

Forget the Hulk, "Brooke Knows Best"

A spin-off of Hulk Hogan's now defunct reality show is set to debut on Sunday at 10 p.m. on VH1. Brooke, Hulk Hogan's daughter, has moved out on her own. The show will chronicle Brooke's life while she and her roommates try to make it on their own in Miami. With all the media attention surrounding the Hogan family, it's not surprising that Brooke (the one left the least tarnished) has secured her own show. The production company "Pink Sneakers Productions" will reteam with Brooke to run this show's production. A sneak peek of the show is available now at vh1.com.
