Watching Big Brother: Is Jessie a tool?

Old man Jerry was quick to be back on military oath spiel again this episode. Renny showed her first sign of common sense and called him on it, and he freaked out at her. He ended up blaming Brian for the betrayal, but that's not why Jerry put him up. He put him up because the house forced him to. For a brief moment, I hoped that Jerry's talking was all game. Wouldn't it be great if Jerry were actually faking his preachiness to flip the house his direction? I don't think that's the case, but it'd be good TV if it were.

This early in the game Jessie's ego is going to end up killing him. I'm tired of the guy talking about his muscles -- we get it. He's a bodybuilder. He's Head of Household and has control of who goes home this week. Angie, Dan, and Steven are among the people who supported Brian staying in the house and are targets right off the bat. Renny is obviously a target as well, because she annoys the whiny bodybuilder.

When Jessie's group met to discuss who to put up, he fought hard for Renny. It's obvious that the guy isn't playing the game to win if he's trying to get the old lady out of the house before the people who hate him. Libra seems to be the leader of that side of the house, and put her foot down about putting Renny up.

During the food competition, Ollie was worried that if he drank wine during the competition he'd be an alcoholic. Sadly, I think he was serious. Do churches really convince their members that alcoholics are anyone who drinks? Maybe Dan should explain communion to Ollie. It'd probably blow his mind. The smaller half of the divided house won the food competition, which leaves Libra and April eating slop again this week. The food competition may actually determine the winner of the Power of Veto, because of the lack of real food for that side of the house.

Despite Dan's last-ditch effort to save himself, he still ended up on the block along with Steve who got put up because he didn't go up into the HoH room. I've got to agree with Steve about Jessie though. He's a tool, in more ways than one.
