Gotta love "The Love Guru"

From "Schwing" to sacred charkas, Mike Myers is back. This time he's ready to cleanse your soul and uplift your spirit. Myers' character, Pitka, in "The Love Guru" is loosely based on Deepak Chopra, a New Age writer. According to Fandango, his teachings helped Myers get through his father's death a few years ago.

Pitka is sent to counsel a star hockey player whose life falls apart after his wife leaves him and starts dating his rival on another team.
Expect typical Myers silliness, but also a sincere message about balancing the ups and downs of life.
"The Love Guru" is rated PG-13. It will play in the Salem area at Regal Movieland 7, Regal Santiam 11 and Independence Cinema.

"Get Smart"; get to this movie

Straight from the `60s -- it's another TV show-turned-movie. Unlike the failed attempts to remake "Bewitched" and "The Beverly Hillbillies," this one looks like it might actually be entertaining, mostly thanks to the efforts and inclusion of "The Office" guru Steve Carell.
Carell plays Maxwell Smart, an overly eager analyst who is promoted to spy when the headquarters of a U.S. spy agency is attacked and the agents' identities are compromised.

Smart is partnered with hottie Anne Hathaway and soon the two of them uncover an evil secret plan. Smart, with his meager experience and can-do attitude suddenly must save the day.

"Get Smart" is rated PG-13. It will play at Regal Movieland 7, Regal Lancaster Mall Stadium 11 and Independence Cinema.
